What have you done to your Ecoboosted vehicle today?

And the head light assembly saga continues......

Goodness Dave, are you close to being at your wits end yet?

Beyond that Mike.  Never would have dreamed that peeling off tint would turn into a month long, and expensive nightmare.  Why Ford would have two different set-ups with the same part number befuddles me. I'm now fretting about getting new bulbs to fit the assemblies.  That will be more hundreds.

The only bright side is hoping that I will save somebody else the heartache, depression and sheer agony that I have had to go through!  :boom:

There are lots of items in my Flex manuals that are different but have the same part number.  Depends on the year and model from what I can determine.

Dealer update-Ford has gone to a new headlight design.  The old assembly is not available.  That means if you have to get the new assembly, you will also need new bulbs and ballasts. Should have the car back tomorrow.

A really good thing to focus on in this crazy headlight film experience, is that now you have a really nice tail light mod. I will follow your lead there.  Definitely jealous Dave!

Thanks Larry!  Yeah, I'm very happy with the tails.  As soon as I get the SHO back, I'll wax and detail it and get some good pictures.

Removed the 2nd/3rd cat after flex piping.  No crossover just 2 straight pipes.  Did not increase exhaust noise at all from stock!  Very happy and only $60 bucks.  Car feels strong although the 42 degree air is helping too.  Lol

I was wondering if this method would turn up the volume on the exhaust note. Guess I am just going to wait for the full custom exhaust next spring.

Almost all of the gains are made in removing the cats.  Cat back is all just for noise.

That is good news! Did it throws a CEL?

No.  The O2's sensors are in front.  ;)  Even if it did a tune could shut them off.

No start this morning.  Used my portable battery charger and got it going.  Picked up an Interstate Megatron II battery.  The OEM battery was 4 years old.    Not very exciting, but necessary.

Second time I had to jump start my car after a dead battery. So went to the dealership and had em swap it out under warranty.

For a 2011, it has been the least life out of a battery for a vehicle I drive regularly.

Just got the SHO back. I had a 2 stage paint correction and CQuart Finest on paint, glass, plastic, and wheels..... It took 2 days with 2 people working. It's smooth, slick, and absolutely no evidence of any scratches or "spiders" Very happy! It really made a difference.  They even got the spider scratches out of the plastic outer cover of the B pillar.

Just picked up my baby with her new headlights.  Everything seems fine and looks great!  The nightmare is over!  Don't ever tint your headlights unless you are positive you want them forever!  Now, for a good detailing.  I also got some wheel touch up for a couple of spots on my wheels that were there when I bought it.  Just needs a couple drops.

My buddy/mechanic is installing H+R springs and giving my baby an oil change. Can not wait to see that new stance.
Also, my (4) 20" TSW Nurburgrings from ONLYA6 were put in the mail. Big day for the SHO.
