What have you done to your Ecoboosted vehicle today?

Took the emblems off the SHO in preparation of the new "vents".  The C pillar emblems kinda just popped right off.  The trunk emblem was a bear.  Left half the rubber foam which had to be worked off with my finger nails.  A little Mother's scratch remover and some wax, you'd never know where they were.  I'm hoping to get the "vents" by Wednesday. Tomorrow, I'll start trying to get the SHO and Ecoboost apart.  Not sure but I might just leave the trunk plain.  I'll have to see.  Now, I have the two C pillar emblems.  What to do with those?  Hum.

I used a heat gun to loosen up adhesive enough to work some brake cleaner behind glue..
Then they just pulled right off. Glue and all. Brake cleaner removed all excess glue too with no issues..
Careful with heat gun .. Not to close and constant movement..

Pics from time to time please  :pokey:

DJ, before you put anything back on the paint take a good look from multiple angles, if not with LEDs.  Often a "hologram" has developed and you need to polish a little mor aggressively to get it to disappear.... I had them on my 2013 in AZ sun.  :buff:

Yeah, that emblem was on there for three years.  I think the SHO being white really helped a lot.  It doesn't fade like a darker color.  I checked it out really closely at all angles and you really can't tell where the emblem was mounted.  I only waxed the C pillar but I think I'll go back over it with a scratch remover/wax combo maybe.  I took the wax off pretty fast and had to buff out the wet spots but, it is clean and smooth there too.  I'll have a new set of pics soon.  Thanks!

My Ecoboost had its grille pulled had the upper and lower lights pulled as well as the hood blown off and sitting on a lift with its  wheels and tires removed as well. bUt its all for a good reason... Striker, Trucks, Nitto, Rigid and Robert with Plain and Simple lights are supplying the replacements. Stay Tuned..

Cool!  Faster & Meaner result, I bet :)

I got the SHO letters separated from the Ecoboost on the rear emblem and touched up the bottoms with silver paint.  Hopefully, it won't be noticeable. It looks like about half the bottoms were attached and didn't get chromed.

Does any body have some good pictures on where they placed just the letters in relation to the crease and the tail light?  I'd love to check a few applications out.  Thanks!

Could mount them inside the car on the door. Inside center console. Apply them to your favorite glass drinking container, take them to a tattoo artist as guilds for a new tat. Make them into a 3 finger ring to show off your bling. Attach to tool box, help out a local ricer at Walmart and give them a new emblem on there Honda civic powered by rotary-LS1-SHOspeed6tech. Bejewel them and give them to your wife as super rare and expensive fomoco earings.. the options are endless.

LOL  If I had Tats, one would be a SHO!  I do have the small C pillar emblems.  I was going to see if there was a good spot on the interior of the front doors.  I don't know but, it's too darn cold out to be fiddling with that.

Updated my SYNC system to the latest GEN 2 3.6 version. Also downloaded a bunch of wallpaper/backgrounds to change up the display.

If you don't mind me asking, Where did you get your downloads from for wallpaper and background?

LOL  Don't hold your breath.  I'm too old for tattoos anymore.
How about cutting out "SHO" in a shirt sleeve and taping the sleeve to your arm while driving in the sun?  Better than falling asleep with your face on the emblem in the sun?
