What have you done to your Ecoboosted vehicle today?

Looked at it while I painted

Screw in tire...got new tires. Pretty much time anyway. Pirellis were kind of dry rotted and tread was getting low. Got 275/60R20s **** Cepek Trail Country for less than $600 OTD.

I loaded up my new LMS 4X tune last Friday night...
Wow is my reaction. Obviously stronger than my old 3bar 4+ tune.  Esp from a dig

Even with 255 Hankooks on, it searches for traction on the 1-2 shift and actually wheelhops some.

Weird thing is the BOVs now sound different, from a short whoosh to now a 13y/o girl sneezing lol.
Still sounds the same at part throttle blowoff, but with any real boost it sneezes.
Wonder why... cause it does it even at boost levels of the old tune.

Your observations are just like mine regarding the 4X/3 bar.  The BOV does make a "whonk" or "wheek" sound - even when not vented to atmosphere.  I was a little concerned about the WOT 1-2 shift at first but after driving mine for about 500 miles, the wheel hop is reduced.  It still breaks the tires loose on that shift but it seems to have smoothed out some.

Is this a new tire model?  Hardly any reviews out there.  Time to get your truck all shined up, no excuses :D
Actually it was a close out lol that's why they were so cheap. They weren't really my first choice but with the size I wanted (one up from stock) that was about the only option at this particular tire shop. And for the price....it was a no brainer. Next cheapest option was $1000 for Toyo.
I did wash the truck yesterday and dressed the tires and trim....you can't tell?? 😯
Now the Heep....yeah....hasn't been washed once yet. But...it's a Heep

Love those FX4s!

Why do all of the trucks still have the ugly metal antenna on the front fender?  Most cars have it integrated into the windows or shark fins on the roofs.  Just annoys me!

haha I don't know.. old school thinking I guess? I had put a short one on my previous truck, I might eventually on this one too.
and thanks!

It does look all shiny, down to the wheel & tire, just want you to a) keep it clean and b) post more pics!  LOL

haha ok 👍 I do keep the truck pretty clean. it started out as a $45k truck (I didn't pay that lol) so it definitely deserves it
I put some silly decals over the boost badges recently. ...They were free so why not

yea, itll do that with time as the adaptive learning does its thing... even my 4+ tune tried to wheelhop just a tick when i first loaded it, the 4X tune def makes that worse, but its has already smoothed out a good bit in the miles since. I just poop back and forth to work usually so im not aggressive.

took some photos and bought corel paintshop X6 to try to make some killer photos.
Killed it....lovely

Thanks guys i got alot more to do... Your pick up is lookin good with some new rubber. I was always curious how those tires performed.
Thanks! At $600 for 33s on 20s it didn't even hurt. Not my first choice but too good of a deal to pass up at the moment. Some road noise but barely, these trucks are super quiet. AC, wind noise cover it up easily. Less than 50 miles on them but happy so far.

Also today I took off running boards, and the "diaper" underneath. It's there (not metal) to protect tall grass from hot exhaust, and cut down on exhaust/turbo noise.....cant have that!

must have as much turbo noise as possible
Of course!!

Also ordered some caps to do a VTA set up. Only a few dollars so I'm going to see if I like the sound

Not the best video but the second blow off is the most audible...not my video

Ecoboost BOV VTA sounds: http://youtu.be/tPq4krlB_-A
