XV1

Hey guys,

Brandon from LMS here. I know you guys are all craving XV1, it should only be a few more weeks. We will be releasing XV1 for the SHO, and Explorer Sport first. Then the F-150 a week or two following that. XV1 does require a thermostat, and a 3 bar map sensor. This is because the stock map sensor is good to up to 15 psi, and the 3 bar is good to 30. This is to prevent any type of failure to the engine. Good news for you F-150 guys though. You already have a 3 bar. We will have all these in stock. So STAY TUNED!

Great news to hear Brandon! :ok:

Thanks for posting :thankyou:

Since I recently pre-ordered my ATP turbo upgrade, I will be reaching out in the near short term, to arrange for me to make the 5hr trak out to your facility once again, for a newly revised/updated dyno tune.

Hope the schedule's not terribly booked (although I suspect it is).

Tell Dan I'm hoping he gets those boost command protocols all figured out for us "older" (2010) owners.

Cuz i'll need him to work his magic as it relates to giving me mmmmmooooorrrrrrr boost baby!

Hi Brandon, thanks for the update!
Xv1 is the name of the coming tune right? Will it be working with our Mycal device?
Also, will that tune be adapted for methanol and downpipes?
Thanks! I can't wait any longer... When I purchased my car back in February and when I drove 20 hours to go see you guys in May, I didn't expect the 2013 to be so hard to tune...
BTW, will that tune aork for 2013's?
Thanks!

The Thermostat is pretty inexpensive what kind of price range is the 3 bar sensor? Seems like this is going to bring to the tune to a nice new level. I am in if the costs are not bad. I was going to do downpipes and H&R kit until my car got hit bad in the accident. Its a lease that now I decided am turning in under 2 years so I am not looking to spend more then I feel is worth leaving in or quick swap out when I turn the car in.

Those that have done the thermostat themselves: Can it be installed easy in a parking lot with normal toolkit or do I need to get the car on a lift?? Never installed one before.

T-stat's Super easy to install.

15 minutes tops and no, you do NOT need a lift.

From what I have heard Torrie likes to do the 3 bar only with water methanol injection included.  FYI

Curious to see how Livernois is going to pull this off with just 10 degree colder themostat?

3bar is in the mail from Torrie and T-stat is installed ... So now I hurry up and wait for XV1

Any update on this? I was thinking that in order to make a little cash they are going to require a bundle purchase to get the XV1 tune?

I have LMS XV1 tune. It was part of the Dyno tune of my METH SYS. that they did 9-11-13.

Xv1 tune is only for 2013's and newer.
crash I have 3 tune (+ a stock) 1)3bar 170deg METH race 93oct, 2)3bar 170deg METH DD 93oct, 3)3bar 170deg 93oct (no meth) and my car is a 2011.

I do not doubt you do have all them tunes. I have 5 tunes on mine. But none are xv1 and as far as I know, no one has the XV1 tune yet as LMS is still testing it. You have stage 5 tunes my friend.
Also see pic, see who it's by, and see title.

I see what it said but it what Andy said he install (11 days ago)along with a DD METH and a RACE METH. I  ask about the XV1 because I was thing of not running the METH all the time and our car's will not run with the 3bar install with just the stage 4+ tune. My new NO METH tune is a 3bar,170deg,down-pipe,x-pipe and 2.5" exhaust-pipes tune, It may be a preproduction XV1 but this what I was told it  was at LMS. 2 weeks ago.

I do not plan on adding METH to the SHO but I would be interested in knowing how the XV1 is running. Is this going to be a nice gain in HP? Shoman have you driven on the no meth xv1 93oct? I was very happy with the improvements in the v6 93OCT tune that i got over the summer and I am interested in seeing whats next with xv1.

You are not the only one. Nobody is running the XV1 yet, not even Shoman. He was told maybe, but whoever told him was mistaking. He was dynode at 405whp which is the normal stage 5 (compared to me, BDP Mike and Chris Curtis, all running similar numbers). Also, his 12.4 seconds confirms that it is surely stage 5.

XV1 is supposed to be released in a few weeks, as I was told last week when I called LMS and spoke to Brandon.

My expectations are an increase of 25hp compared to stage 5 and more throttle response.

Hopefully it'll be ready before drag season ends up North!

But just the upgrade from stage 4+ to stage 5 (methanol) is unbelievable, I would say a good 70 hp just with methanol. So no need to wait, get the meth with stage 5 and then upgrade to XV1 when it is available...

Im not looking to add meth either, but do want more aggressive for those days!  The Thermo has been swapped and my MAP should arrive in the next few days.  Now just waiting.
