AJPTurbo Meth Tune.

I know there is a lot to be gained with spark, but he told me we still had a lot of headroom for boost as well. He was running into some problems getting the boost to actually increase, though. No matter what he tried, the boost was sitting tight. I sent him an email a couple weeks ago, but I'm guessing it go lost in the mess of alcoholic SHO madness.

I'll try again later, but I'm not in a huge hurry since I'm hoping I can get my intake put together soonish, which I assume will require a tune revision anyway.

Just a weekend update... Brad and I going back to the drawing board... with the meth spray, knock, and fuel pressure are no longer an issue. You can drop enough HP/TQ to blow the motor before running out of fuel...

In any event, due to traction issues from a dig, my strategy being unique in that the normal approaches seem to not work, and a few other interesting things, we are going to try a different approach.

Being able to take a vette from a roll is nice, but we need to find a way to get the power down to the ground from a dig... suspension and DR's are a thought.. but can't run DR's on the street...

Trying to find out how to lower boost just in first and second gear...

As always Brad is phenomenal to work with! And I have absolutely no guilt taking his time away from my fellow ecoboosters  >:D >:D

Dammit, Steal and the rest of you guys,  my car is the slowest one here so I deserve the most of Brad's time!  :laughing1:

If you have the 3.0L, I would argue that mine is the slowest. As far as I can tell (he hasn't told me what he's done specifically, and I'm not that great at reading the logs), my tune mostly consists of reduced nannies, shift changes, and only minor tweaks to things that actually increase power. Now, I could be mistaken since my butt dyno is useless and I haven't been to the track since stock, but aside from a stronger launch, it doesn't feel all that much faster.

Depends on what he does with the money he is making :-)

Interesting.  Hopefully he will throw a tune similar to the one you are scrapping my way, I would rather have traction issues that not...  Be interesting to see how it compares on my 13+.

I'm interested in a heads up race against FoMoCoSHO and his corn fed beast...

Thinking I drop the psi in the tires, get em warm, and my comp 2's will hook nice so the PTU won't need to transfer as much to the rear... just enough to keep me from spinning...

Should probably try that....

Have you found a way to get past the TQ15 off the line now?

A race between you two would be awesome to see.

Testing some theories... I will let you know... but my car appears to be less sensitive to tq15 in general...

probably not as much of a concern for you since your SHO isnt your daily but . . brad raised the ts15 limit in one of my previous tunes and it completely disabled ts2(traction control). we pretty much gave up on it at that point since I drive mine in the snow.
be interested to see how yours reacts.

Funny that... He tried the same stuff on mine... but my car literally wouldn't start.. anytime he touches the traction control setting on mine, it wont start. I have to get the car put back to stock before I can do anything with it.....

My car just does not behave normally... it just doesn't. Basic stuff yes, but once you get outside of the basic stuff its really test and tune because it just doesn't react the way you think it would.. LMS tunes do to some degree.. Torrie claimed everything under the sun was wrong with my car lol...

Example.. when tuning for E20 blends... Brad said it was strange that my strategy already had a table modified to recognize and adapt to E85 fuel stock!.. it clearly wasn't working... but it was there!

I just means more patience when it comes to working with my SHO... although, it runs like a mother f%$ker.. if you compare it to the cars I beat on the street... and datalogs...

Oh now that is interesting .. the advanced track.. or the evil stability control that cannot be turned of on non-preped?

Traction control is different than Advanced Track.

What's size are your tires ? Guys are running wide as possible. I did my best times @ 22 26 rear. I have seen a 1.8 60' and I'm on cheap tires
