Sending you mail AJP :P

AJP has come through with a few edits because he is awesome.  will test the 0-106mph times .. WHEN IT STOPS RAINING >:(

10% precipitation my ass..  damn PNW.

Edits are :

pushing to 15PSI with words of caution on rail pressure in the winter. (which i'm good with,  datalogged 12'f looked great)
20% less TQ reductions for lower gears.

damn rain.
Yeah the toques is a blessing and a curse...  Honestly I am having traction issues more than anything at this point, so any ore power is a waste.  AJP's tune is a real monster and if I mash throttle from a standing start all it does is spin thru 1st, then chirp second but car is so slow actual mph that it then drops rpm.  It pulls out from there, but just lot of stress and makes the car not feel fast.

I hear you on weather!  Dreaming or warmer days with good dry pavement!!

My dyno revealed 14psi on e20 is better than 15psi on e20... and the 14psi tune was loaded on dyno..... about same peak power, but higher rpm 14psi made more

Sounds like your AWD system is not working... or your tires are shot...

Up to now I have not seen a single TQ error.. *so far*,  and also have not had issues with full tire spin from start to the end of 1st (AJP's TQ control is very precise).  So I am hopeful this sill be the tweak that breaks under 12.99 and takes some of the edge off the damned drop in MPH during 1-2 shifts.

I think that is where my 12.99 is getting killed, the loss of MPH on 1-2 shift...  On some runs to I have seen it clip 4-mph off of my speed before it starts accelerating again.  Decelerating and then having to overcome negative inertia is probably my issue.

The extra boost is just squeezing that rock a bit harder.  I do not expect the extra tinny bit of extra boost to add much more than a 'smidge' on the back end of the curve .. but every little thing counts at this point.

were at 200ms on the shifts so i do not think we can go any lower on shifting speed.. and i am afraid to try :P  .. binding the ptu with 440wtq just sounds crunchy and expensive.

I'm pump-92 with the default 10% .. well see if there is any negative effects.  I imagine it will be a wash at low RPM's, and only a tiny bit beneficial at mid.. and no help at all at high rpm.

Might create more heat... more heat is not good..

Anyone that has the flywheel tq functioning.... can you please give me your strategy so I can get sct to compare my strategy so they can add it to mine.. thanks!!!

Following up on the torque data options...

Pulled PID/DMR from car lastnight and made a config file for SCTx4 and ran it in guage mode this morning.  I found 4 Torque entries in the list that seemed relevant (lots of datapoint with torque in name for various things)  Most are pterry clear what unit they are in, the last one has me baffled though given the max number relative to the others in picture below.  I make a bit of an assumption on unitS of measure given known output of these cars and the conversion factor...
PID: READING = CONVERSION
ENGINE BRAKE TORQUE: 607.26NM = 447.892lbft
ENGINE TORQUE FLYWHEEL: 447.41lbft = 606.6065NM
TORQUE AT FLYWHEEL: 649.23NM = 478.8475lbft
WHEEL TORQUE CONVERTED TO ENGINE TORQUE:837.29NM? = 617.5534lbft? (-20%drivetrain nets 494lbft)

Could the 1st three actually be at the wheels numbers and the last is at crank? I have seen a number of people with similar tunes running in the mid 400lbft's to wheels.  Last number with 20% loss ends up right @ 494lbft which would be high, but within range?...

What I am really curious about is how it is coming up with these numbers.  I hope to be able to get on a dyno here sometime soon and log these DMR's during pulls to get some real world comparison data.  I just have not been able to find a awd dynojet locally, they are all mustang or dynapack.

No need to dyno, flash back to stock and see which one shows 350 lb ft or it's nm equivalent. Once you have that you can calculate drivetrain loss since the pid also reads negative torque.

Thanks guys, the sct guy said he needed to see a strategy with it activated so he could create a ticket for the engineers to add it to my strategy.

are all 4 of these dmrs needed? Which one is everyone using?

Not needed.  I just picked everyone I could find to compare.  I think top one is in Nm, second in hp and both represent wtq.

As impatient as I am I try to not rush vendors and oems so I have not pressed them for a update.  I am going to blip them today and see what's up ..

@AJP that will likely do it :)  latest datalog shows a best of 11.6x for a 0-100,  where the previous best tune had a 0-100 of 11.775 in my testing spot.

@f8tlsho,  temps  look pretty much the same so far.. will need to repeat the test later ..

log attached.

AJP,  do we want the tune to pull .25/.5 spark the whole duration? is that a negative impact?  it's great that its boosting to 18.5 or better in spots,  but as in this log is detracts spark in tiny bits over the run.. ya/nay, indifferent.. ?
