Keypad panel on door loose at upper section by window chrome.

How is this part attached to the door.  The black keypad section on the driver side door seems to be loosing itself up starting at the upper chrome trim.

Does anyone know how this is attached?  Seems to have double stick - just wanna be sure before I decide if its worth a dealer trip.

I have noticed that mine feels a bit "loose" as I push on it to close the door. Just feels kind of cheap, I will have to look into it a bit further to see if I can fix it. Maybe we are having a similar issue although mine does not look like its loose even though it feels like it.

Lol I almost laugh at how universal ford problems are. Your chrome tails will peel eventually. All the 3m trim will fall off or become crooked. Everyone's seat cracks on the drivers side. The rear shade will likely fail within first 4 years. The seats lumbar will randomly pump to full inflation upon start up. This is almost completely random. The blend door actuaters will wear out and create ratcheting sound that is pretty evident
If you use certain types of oil your engine will make odd metal on metal tap sound when you start. If you have 2010 or 2011 your plugs will wear premature and cause misfires(must get replaced to 2013 spec). I'm just to in love with the car to really say I regret buying it.
I do wish I researched some of these problems before buying mine used. As I could have negotiated better price.

When I talked to autobody guy he said they would just replace the part. 180 I think on Tasca.

Well it goes in the shop next week when I can figure out a time to drop it off.  They are going to replace the Driver side pillar cover and possibly the passenger side.

Curry67, that's a good summary of our issues. Some of us have had all if those, some, like myself, only one (blend door).
Regarding keypad, I think Ford has changed the design on 13-15 in that it now wraps around the door frame.
I too love mine, and I think in comparison, we are still relatively problem free.

1.5 days later and I have my car back with driver and passenger panel replacements.  As for the install of the parts I am not impressed.  They have scarred the rubber gaskets around the panel apparently during installation.

Also the dealer went and performed the recall on the rear license plate lights - and managed to keep my led bulbs in the process.  I asked about them and couldn't seem to locate them.  Lovely.

I hate going to the dealer

Sorry to hear about the dealership experience, Boggus.  I'm sure they're thinking, "It's just a Ford, who cares what it looks like!".  They didn't want your bulbs to hyperflash either, customer service at its' best!

Well said.

I just redid the double sided tape using some 3m automotive grade stuff. I then got out the DA polisher with some compound to polish all the black plastic. Came out like new, none of the spider web scratches
