By far the worst system I have ever seen in a 50k car. Hence the lawsuits.

I have Sync 2 and it is querky, not enough to make me want to upgrade to sync 3.

Sync 3 is miles ahead of 2 and I mean miles. It’s like they actually tried to give you an infotainment center that works. Pretty amazing for 50/60k cars right. My car fell under the class action suit since it was an early 13. So maybe it was worse I dunno. My dads 2015 mustang seemed to work a little better then mine. But my sister has a 2015 fusion and it’s absolute **** in her car too.

Lol I don't need that bad juju. Cars still in one piece and honestly isn't ragged edge either! I've seen the car a few times on Facebook. Pretty impressive build. Imo someone else's big build is much more of a liability than a blessing..

If it was my daily then I might have issues with it in my SHO.  I have Sync 2 in my ST and daily that.  No problems.  I think the more tech involved these infotainment centers the worse off we are.  The upgrade to Sync 3 is $1000.  $1000 is $1000 closer to a X35 and almost the stand alone kit in my car.  My priorities are different I guess.

I looked into it myself on the old sho. I just didnt think the 1k was worth it. I’d rather go fast and turn the radio off lol. The edge is slow so I have time to care about sound systems and navigations haha. Also the edge has CarPlay I think that makes it much better as well. But even the sony system in the edge is miles better then the sho.
 
2015 SHO and the Sync 2 works fine for me. The two things I do dislike are the touch screen and its lack of touch and the the Nav sucks. I use my phone with Google maps/Waze and dont touch the screen too much so its not a deal breaker.

However the SHO has 2 USB ports that you can insert TWO usb thumb drives. Thats a lot of music and you can switch between them easy. It streams MP3's fine and the CDs sound great. Yeah I still use them.

I agree with most you said. I have no problem with my sync 2. In comparison to my new C7, the GM system sucks. Although some of it may be my short memory when switching between cars I have to relearn everything every time. I keep over 150 songs on a WIN created playlist on the thumb drives. The GM system can’t handle the higher numbers which is annoying.

Yes on my SHO.  It didn't come factory with the Navi unlocked.  My ST did. 

I used this exact video to unlock the Navigation in the my SHO.  It was one of the first Forscan mods I did to the SHO.

Hmm interesting! Whats your Build date! What version Sync. I needed to get an AB File and have the APIM reprogrammed in order to work! BTW avoid messing with the Sync system it will wipe the NAVI! Z

I will take a picture of it tonight.  In the video people are commenting across platforms that it worked for them. ST, Taurusa, F150, ect.
 
Here is the info for my car.  If you look at the window sticker you will see it does not have navigation.

Next is the my build of 2/12.

Last picture is my Navi active which I activated with Forscan.
