Rx Catch Can Install on Explorer Sport

Oh it's driven lol. and I live in Florida so I'm sure the humidity don't help. Turbo lines, intake, tb were all full of oil when Tracy installed it. I took it back for him to look at it, he moved the clean side to intake opening, still nothing. Nothins blocked, I even crawled under with valve open and closed and blew/sucked on drain tube. Valve works, no blockage. Strange

How about the intercooler?  ShoBoat put up a how-to on cleaning it out, but worth taking a peek inside?  Maybe just need to add more miles to the Flex first.

For sure, let us know what you find!

Bottles were sitting on a flat, level surface (despite how a couple of the pics look...they really were flat; it's the goofy diet coke bottles that make them look that way. lol)

Still getting quite a bit out, I see.  Looks like the new mounting location is working for you.  Have you taken a peek inside the turbo piping/intake etc?

I plan on doing that during the monster can install after it arrives. I'm curious too!

Taparalk'd...expuct typoz

I don't get it, mine still is not working, unless it's still getting to much vac on clean side because i'm running an Airaid system. I did notice now that i'm into paddleboarding that when the boards are on the roof the sound echoing down from open sunroof that intake is LOUD AS HELL, (Actually wondering if I also have a boost leak) so it may be getting to much pull still.

I havent got anything either. I think mounting location is the key. The can needs to be in a cool spot. My can is in the engine bay too and so far nothing over 7,000 miles.

OK...been on a bit of a EBPF hiatus lately due to family and other issues...but I have some cool updates to share.

First off, I drained the RX OCC after 5,000miles and got out about 5-6oz. (Pictured is a 20oz. bottle)
Not NEARLY as much as our longitudinal counterparts...but still more than I want ending up in the CAC

Also, MY MONSTER CAN CAME IN TODAY!!! Complete with larger diameter hose, etc. SO, my plan is to remove the front facia again and make a few changes. I would like to switch to the larger can, plus try to remount the vacuum hoses closer to the turbos...Not sure yet whether I will try to tap into the intake pipes pre-turbo, or if I will tie into the open BOV ports since I'm VTA.

Not sure when I'll be doing this, but I have it tentatively slated for some time within the next two weeks.

I'll advise.

I'm beginning to think the cleanside line is still overpowering the other line. I took it off intake barb and just laid end inside airbox 100 miles ago. See what happens

JimiJak hope everthing is well and hang in there and hope for the best and good luck.

JJ!!!  Glad to see ya posting!  BOL with everything, stay +ve :)  But then I don't have to say that to a fireman AND paramedic, do I?

Please excuse the typing, posting from my phone.
Hey guys. Following jimijaks how to I finally did my RX install on my SHO.
I installed it in the same spot as the explorer, front drivers side behind bumper.

It was pretty straight forward mounting the can. I did have to re drill the bracket holes to allow for level mounting.

I used the factory BOV recirculating hose barbs instead of drilling/tapping the pipe. On the rear and front valve cover vent hose to intake. This is the front with the adapter setup I used.

This is the back. I used a piece of 1" hose and this adaptor the reduce down to 3/8"

I had to drill out the center to open it up.

I routed the hose between the charge pipes and behind the air box intake nozzle.

Except for the hose clamps it still looks factory

. The engine cover still fits also.
