Yes!...I actually am going to wrap the IAT sensor and the tube with reflectix and see what happens.

Almost did! Need this stuff in colors, at least black would be nice. Think using hose clamps would be a good idea too.

Let us know what happens there, I did something like that on the K&N and it had the undesired effect of holding in the heat. Once heat soak set in, it took forever to cool back down again. But in that case it may have had to due with the pipe being Aluminum and the non cold air it was getting lol.

I wonder if we could use something like this on the outside of the Airaid?

That looks interesting.

Twin turbos deserve twin intakes I feel.

Saving on space & monitoring/coordination issues, I think, with single intake.

There have been several of these intakes with twin pipes. Take the Hessesey intake. They have not shown a real increase in power. Possibly the issue of hot air again?

In the "what would you like in CAI" thread there was mention of rear turbo getting less quality air than the front?

I would love to hear how that was determined. And what do they mean by less quality air?

Tried some foam insulation for 1/2" water lines.

Have to shut hood pretty hard now. Well, can't just drop it from normal spot now. Looks like this would fit real nicely onto the D style stripping. $5 from Menard's for 8'.

Actually used this stuff last year in my basement on some sweating pipes. This brand I found at Menard's I like more as it has the rubber flange with sticky on it and others didn't have the flange at all.

I went to my local auto parts store. A small independent place, the had availability on some peel and stick automotive stuff at 7/8 tall and is black edm foam. It should fit the bill. I ordered a roll. I'll let you know when it comes in.

That sounds like the ticket to ease the eyesore.
