OK... This involves wheels and tires. I'm starting to shop seriously as this is coming within the year, even if the tires have tread since they have been on the car since 9/2013. I don think I want to do a staggered setup... And plan an all season tire. ...But I'd like a more aggressive appearance and better traction.
I'm considering going to a wheel that's 20x9 with a 35-36mm offset. This should let me use a wider tire all round without stretching or poking and get about an inch wider footprint. There looks to be enough clearance in front... Although it is just over a cm (1.2 - 1.3) from OEM sidewall to the spring cup on the strut and this idea would use about half that. The back end should be no problem.
I'd like to stay within 0.3" diameter of the OEM (which is 28.7") and don't want to go smaller than OEM because of wanting a better fill of the wheel wells too. (Not ready to do lowering springs yet)
So what are you folks' thoughts on the wheel size and whatsize tire would you go with?
TIA
