What have you done to your Ecoboosted vehicle today?

Oh no! I don't even wanna see that white stuff yet lol
Despite being AWD and it going completely against the ideology of driving it in the Winter, this is exactly why I'll be putting my SHO 'down' once again shortly.

2018 will be it's 3rd Winter of seeing no snow/ice/salty roads action. Which is fine by me. I want to be able to enjoy my SHO for the long haul and for many years to come.

I still enjoy watching those who are piloting them in the winter months though, and I suppose i can live vicariously through the rest of you.

Happy motoring!

Sadly, I'm just pulling my sho out of hibernation and putting away my DD for the winter. But I still enjoy driving the sho more than any car I've owned, even in the winter.

I wish I could put mine up but it's not in the cards. However, my old F350 will take the brunt of the bad winter weather. It's already rotted out and all beat up, so f-it, lol.

I DO plan on getting the car oil undercoating ASAP... hopefully next week.

If I had to drive it I would also get it undercoated.  What's the best way to handle keeping it garaged in the winter when you are driving it?  So many ppl think the salt gets "activated" when it warms up in the garafe from being parked dirty and covered in snow.  Others think leaving it outside in the cold is better and its too cold for the salt to "activate".  I used to park it in the garage whenever possible.  I always figured keeping it out of the elements and warm was always better.  No matter what it will get salt on it.  What are your thoughts on that?

Doesn't matter if it's in the garage or not. Heated garage helps a little more because eventually the car dries out... but the bottom line is the salt/calcium/cancer sauce gets in every crevasse, and when it gets wet is when it gets into everything and starts killing it. There is no stopping it; it's slow it down and limit it, OR don't drive it in the winter at all. JMO.

The ignition coil pig tail connectors arrived late today from www.rockauto.com which had the best price around.....
I broke a couple plastic tabs and simply will be swapping the shells around by removing the terminal connector, due to the red locking tab clips breaking.

I also cleaned up the engine bay a bit before old man winter is upon us.  Z

Running LMS E30 tune at the moment... got stuck somewhere that didn’t have E85... filled the SHO with 93 and decided to just monitor knock until I can put some E85 in it...

Car is pulling about a degree or so of spark under WOT at points, not consistently though... and not enough to worry about... looks like LMS E30 leaves enough on the table to run 93 without having to worry too much. But I can feel a difference without the added spark...

To be fair 93 E10 and E30 is really only about 3 octane difference. Except you'll be running way richer, but I'd like to assume they have some fall back like you said.

True, there is an octane difference... also there is a difference in the cylinder temps... lots of good info out there to read about the advantages of ethanol besides just the octane rating increase.

For sure I just figured that wouldn't matter near as much due to you trying to keep it easy. At least that's what I figure you would be doing lol

True... it’s being babied until I get another daily driver... and figure out this vibration I have...
