What have you done to your Ecoboosted vehicle today?

Did an oil change and tire rotation. Buddy cleaned the exterior of the car. Can finally see my stainless exhaust tips instead of carbon build up! Then I get an email with E30 Rev 12 and 93 Octane Rev 5 from brad. What a good day for the car.

Been thinking about adding a little over full (extra half quart or whole) on the trans fluid while I am at it. Read in a few spots it can help starvation on launches. Dunno, anybody got thoughts on that? I have umpteen amounts of trans fluid.

It does help. The service vehicles get an extra pint. On my meth tuned 2010 the extra fluid made for more consistent shifts. LMS will claim cavitation of the fluid causes the problem, so has Matt Robinson.

I went ahead and added an extra pint above full on my 2016 the last time I was working on it. Only a pint (half a quart) though.

Welp, that settles it. Figure with the upgraded mounts and heavier harder launching it would help.

my 2010 will not hold 1st gear without going up to the top of the ball on the stick.  definitely *i* would recommend it.

Good move! @ least your 2016MY has the (CKCP) sensor on the front clean side for fresh air!  Keep us updated on the install!  Z

New Alky pump ordered from www.Alkycontrols.com

I emailed Julio over @ Alky Controls and received an email that he will be out from January 17th through February 1st 2018. I'll be back in the shop on Monday February 3nd 2018 at 8:00 AM.

I then received a Pm directly from Julio Don on exactly which Alky pump is needed for our application and must admit this is customer service @ its finest.  Z  :)

Was this to replace a non working pump or a spare?

Its a spare for the time being but when I spoke with Julio a while back he said Typically 2 years is a good rule of thumb if using 100% methanol!
I will probably have LMS install it this Spring along with a new Dyno tune to see where Red is @ . Z

Good call Z!  I'm in the same boat.  2 years this winter.  I too have had 0 issues with the current pump but theres no reason to run it to failure!  The new pump is extremely affordable which is a huge +

I wholeheartedly agree 802SHO since the average lifespan is 2 years and why not change it sooner than later avoiding any such catastrophic failure from happening!
In my case it will be 2 years in May since having the Meth installed! How time flies.

Bit off topic but purchased this Liquid Transfer Pump recently and probably the best $15 spent IMHO.  Z

I have that exact pump I couldn't agree more it makes the whole meth transfer so much easier instead of tilting the jug in the trunk and spilling some.

Yesterday the car got a good long run up to Canada and back.  It is amazing what you can fit in a Taurus, 60" flatscreen fit inside no problem.  Man I like this car even more after trips like that.  Cruising along at freeway speeds for hours on end smoooooth as silk. Crossed 65K sometime on the way north.

As a reward for a sweet run the Sho got some luv today.

Nice fresh load of 5W-30 Mobil1 and a new FL500S.
While the oil drained I pulled the OE air filter assembly and put the K&N CAI back on since nobody seemed to want it.  I missed the cool rushing air noises from it anyway.

The 275/40's on all 4 corners have been just stellar, besides the AJP tune easily the best upgrade I have made.

Filled back up today since the Sat trip took pretty much a full tank.
21.47mpg.
I know guys out there claim 25mpg tuned, but not gonna happen out this way, not a mile of this trip was flat.  Given the power, weight and speed I will take 21.47 all day long.  I tried a while back to run without a tune, I dropped 2-3mpg in my round town mileage by running stock, so went back to AJP tune.

Made sure the fresh coolant from the intercooler swap is good to go. Everything peachy. Did some more revisions on the video and sent it back to Matt at Gearhead for his approval. Hoping to get it to you guys soon so when y'all make the jump the install is ezpz

I got my SHO back on the road.  New trans with a warranty. Good stuff.

Sweet Deal!  Out of curiosity, is there any type of break-in period or can you brake boost out of the shop parking lot when you leave?

I was told to take it easy for a bit.  Going to put at least 200 miles on it, then it is game time. I forgot how quick the car was.  I have been driving a Yukon and 1.8T Golf for the past couple of months...lol.
