I turned it on today... did some datalogging... put it back in the garage...

Then promptly started comparing a ZL1 and GT350 lol

Yup, but it’s not about just the power... it’s about the experience... the GT350 is a drivers car. I miss having a drivers car.... lol...

Get a Focus ST and get it tune....most fun car I have ever driven.

Don’t doubt it. But two different class of cars. Which one would be more fun to drive?

Couldn’t agree more. I loved my sho and I do miss the car. But honestly driving the edge sport almost feels exactly the same.

Also installed a catch can this morning on the edge. Can’t wait to feel the horsepowa!

Hello, gang,

I had a few questions about my new EcoOwerParts hot-piped and CAI about overheating and defeating the purpose of the function of the cool air intake.

It’s made of aluminum and I hope this helps you guys out. I’d appreciate the feedback.

I always wondered if having them wrapped or made from double-wall pipe would help any. I've always hoped carbon fiber prices would come down low enough to see more parts made from it.

I agree with you about carbon fiber.  I'd love to see it cheaper.

EPP Intake installed!

Also found the Tbolt clamp on my turbo to hot pipe connection popped loose and wouldnt even hold 5 psi before leaking, so really hope this is the source of my boost issue.

Changed the PTU oil in the SHO today. It really wasn't bad to do using the fill through the breather method. The clearance between the drain plug and the cat on the PPE pipe was a little tight, but I was able to work around it. Car has about 17k miles on it.

The GTDI engines get real hot plain and simple! Glad EPP made the changes from Stainless to the aluminum version which is less prone to heat soak while stainless most likely would of burned your finger to the touch IMO! Enjoy the pipes which are a work of art. Z  :thumb:

Swapped out the "green" valve cover adapter (HL2ZX-6762-A) after doing the other one last week to see if it helps with idle smoke.  Mine isn't problematic but it's a TSB and it's something anyone can do themselves for very little money.

I finally received the new EPP Dual intake in Gloss Black To compliment the rest of the Hotpipes! Pics of install and fair review coming soon. Z  :)

whats the weird looking transition? is that from 2inch to 4inch or something? very awesome looking overall.
i get the urge for the noisemaker eliminator pipe almost weekly. but i gotta treat this car like a mogwai

Ordered up some redline gear oil and some Amazon basics full synthetic oil for my 2k oil change. Did a trans drain and fill today as well as plugs yesterday

Just placed my order for the Zex Safe Shot Nitrous kit.  I'll be running a 10 shot to cool the intake charge and add a middle POWA at the same time.  No need for any ice at the track and hopefully the DA won't matter ever again
