3 Bar sensor

AS the newest member of the Meth group/and installed myself. THERE IS NEW REVISE. PARTS in the kit. Haven't had the time to do a thread on different, But ONE the 3bar sensor come in a ford parts box with same part # of the MAF sensor (the one before throttle-body). And 2weeks ago Andy(LMS) gave me the 3bar 170deg NO METH (XV1) tune. As part of the three 3bar tune, +stock tune (4 total). I'll get the 3bar P/N later.

What you find is the part no. Is for 2 bar MAP sensor on you 3 bar MAP sensor box. It's not a off the shelf part as stated before, these are modified parts.
Shoman I don't why you see the need to trump my info all the time, LMS is 3mi's from my home I know Dan Milen well enough to have direct contact with him. So I consider myself to have a little more knowledge then most, not making this a brag. It's just simple semantics, as always I try to keep my conversations friendly and factual. And I let people believe what that want believe. So let's just leave at that my friend. No good will done here by me by proving your misinformed.

Maybe Livernois modifies the 2 bar to work as a 3 bar, but I bought mine directly from Torrie.

As I recall, I was using a 3 bar sensor first, and Darreli got his from Torrie a month or 2 later than I did. The part # on mine is:

Line 1 FoMoCo
Line 2 AA5A-9F479-AB
Line 3 G1UHF  Germany
Line 4 5WK9 6848

I have it sitting next to me as I write.

The part # for the 2 bar sensor that came from the factory is:

Line 1  Ford
Line 2 2R3A-9F479-AA
Line 3 8K22

I also have this sitting next to me as I accidentally slammed it with my hood and broke the cage. I had to replace.  Cost roughly the same as a 3 bar sensor.

Not a expert on part no's. But from how they where explain to me, by a ford engineer. The part number you have there are the same, there is a prefix which could manufacture- part no. - and AA is 1st run the AB is a 2nd run.
This subject has been touch upon before on the other forum. I still have the box my 3 bar came in and part no. Is identical to the 2 bar.
And oddly enough I smashed my 2 by closing the hood also.

My Installed 2 Bar Sensor #'s are as follows:

Line 1  FoMoCo
Line 2 AA5A-9F479-CA
Line 3 G1UHF  Germany
Line 4  5WK9 6847

Note the difference on line 4.  Both of the FoMoCo German sensors came from Torrie.  He may have gotten them for Ford GT's, which he does a big parts business with.

The 2 bar sensor had a blue 0-ring and 3 bar has a red-orange O-ring.

On the sensor in front of the TB, the numbers on all 4 lines are exactly the same as my 3 bar sensor.

Going by Rock Auto, this is what I was about to find.  Unfortunately the Ford part numbers didn't show up.

If you're using Torrie's system, or Livernois - wouldn't it make sense to pay $25. more and get it from them if they are going to be tuning your vehicle?

Not in my opinion, get the part and use it. Torrie tuned my car when I bought it, it's a factory MAP sensor...

I Wouldn'T Think So. One Of Those Places Is Chrging $30 More Plus $33 Shipping. As Long As The Part Is, Or Modified As A 3 Bar Sensor, And I Can Save Money, That WorkS For Me. I Am Loyal To A Point. Now, That $60 Difference Allows Me To Buy A Lower Temp T-stat.

I'd buy and stock these map sensors but I'd just have to mark them up as I can't get them even $5 cheaper so it makes sense for people to just go there and order them.
I'm glad I found the link for everyone.
