3 Bar sensor

Pretty sure it's the same for all, just takes 1 or 2 screws to hold it in :)

EDIT, I know it works - my intake manifold is from a 2013, my 2011 intake is in my garage. :)

What you find is the part no. Is for 2 bar MAP sensor on you 3 bar MAP sensor box. It's not a off the shelf part as stated before, these are modified parts.
Shoman I don't why you see the need to trump my info all the time, LMS is 3mi's from my home I know Dan Milen well enough to have direct contact with him. So I consider myself to have a little more knowledge then most, not making this a brag. It's just simple semantics, as always I try to keep my conversations friendly and factual. And I let people believe what that want believe. So let's just leave at that my friend. No good will done here by me by proving your misinformed.
Crash I had so much fun hanging with you at LMS TRACK DAY. I would NEVER try to TRUMP,DISK,OR OTHER WISE DOWN YOU!!!!!! Every thing you said about your car is a 100% correct, But there is a new revision of the METH KIT. In the old kit you had to pwr the #1 pin of MAP for the modified 2bar to work. (pic#1) that bpd install instruction tell you to do. I PAY $400 in LMS tech labor time to find out the NEW KIT  has a 3bar factory sensor and this (2nd pic) MAP control box w/red-green-&blk wires replaces 2bar pin#1 pwr in put. cutting that pwr wire and my car ran great. You can't do both either the new way or the old but not both!!!!

NO HARD FEELING's MY FRIEND, Or trumping you, except on the track and that's out of respect for how fast you are (I'M STILL DANCING).LOL

Since we're talking about 3 bar maps sensors if anyone knows the intercept and slope for the 3 bar map sensor I could sure use it so I can tune my car :)

I ordered AA5Z-9F479-B from this link, it's a 3 bar.

I'm still confused about the numbers or if they sent the wrong sensor.

I ordered one from here and the Motorcraft box it came in states what I ordered.  The box does show CX2231 and AA5Z-9F479-B but the box wasn't sealed and it looks look they stuck another sensor in there.  The sensor itself is AA5A-9F479-AB. The bottom is 5WK9 6848, the same as the first sensor before the throttle body.

How do I know if this is a 3 bar or not?

Thanks

In my Flex, that sensor which I purchased from Torrie to put on top of the intake, is identical to the one on the side of the pipe just in front of the TB.

Correct the tip sensor is a 3 bar

My 2010 has both bolts (1 on either side of the sensor).

I believe in 2011, the bean counters hired by FMC got involved, and began figuring out how to reduce costs (.01 here, another .01 over there, etc,) and dediced to lop off one bolt from that model year and onward.

No real reason other than that.

If they save the cost of the bolt, the cost of drilling/tapping that 2nd hole, as well as the time it takes to fasten/screw that bolt down, or the time to drill/tap out the hole to, etc. etc.

You multiply that, by however many 3.5 Eco motors produced....

And you save a lot of money.

Kind of throws a whole monkey wrench into the theory of any 1st model run/year of any given car, is somehow taboo, or destined to be worse than any subsequent, following years produced.

Makes me almost happy to own the 2010 that I do.

Especially if those dasterdly bean counters get involved and start whittling away various parts all throughout the car, with the sole purpose in mind of simply cost cutting measures.

FYI... Several of us... who want to remain secret... (including me...) are going to 4 bar sensors... Performance gain expected... UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!

Makes your stock turbos feel like babes again!!!!

I would rather have my awesome brakes than your extra sensor bolt. ;D

That being said, your ride is still awesome!
